Sheila was from Ramsey and studied music at the Royal College of Music. Son her return to the Island, she sang with the Cushag Choir and was a finalist in the Manx music festival Cleveland Medal in 1970. Many will remember Sheila as fiddle player with the Manx Folk Dance Society from the 1950s onwards, and at her funeral Bernard Osborne from the MFDS performed some traditional tunes and the Cushag Choir sang Ellan Vannin.
